Our river has overflowed its banks at least every year since we moved here. This was the first year it did so in July, and the third time it has overflowed into our pond. The Looking Glass River should have heeded the sign, but it didn't -- in fact, this was the highest flood so far.

It's been a very windy year, as well as a wet summer. The photo above was taken through a rain-stained window on a very windy fall day.
