Deer
including a rarely seen buck
Dragonflies are always a treat to watch as they flit about around the pond. How they ever got a bad reputation which made children fear them is beyond ridiculous. We have at least 5 different species here.
Turkeys have made rare appearances in our yard during past years, but this year we saw them three times. They always walk in a line with Tom either leading the flock or standing guard behind.

During one foray across our yard, they encountered our neighbor's fence. But instead of flying over it, or walking along it to find their way, they turned around and went back across our yard from where they came!

They never let Dot get close enough to photograph them, other than through her telephoto lens.
