More about new features in the Pro Edition
The Base Template allows you to create a template file containing common elements such as menus, headers and footers that can be shared across the entire website. You may choose to enable all pages to use the base template, or choose only select pages.

Only one base template file can be designated allowed per website, it needs to be named "basetemplate.html"
Base Template (basetemplate.html)
After a change is made to the base template, please "Refresh" to populate changes into other pages, this updates both the page source code and the page icons.

For example:
We have a website with a base template and three pages:
1. The base template has "blue" background color
2. All three pages use the base template and inherit the "blue" background
3. We decide to change the base template background color to "orange"
4. After the base template change, "Refresh" to update all pages to the new "orange" background color.
Here is a simple example to show how the base template relates to other pages:

In this example, we will work with a simple website with three pages and a base template file.

Here are the contents in the website:

Page #1 (page1.html)
Page #2 (page2.html)
Page #3 (page3.html)
Base Template (basetemplate.html)

The Base Template contains site wide navigation headers and menu.

We will apply the base template to all three pages. The base template can be turned on for each page individually under Page Preferences or for multiple pages at once under Website Preferences.

Updating Base Template:
When a change is made to the Base Template, please "Publish All Pages" to allow changes to reflect on all pages that use the base template.

Use "Publish All Pages (without images)" for a faster upload. If there are image changes to the base template file, please publish the base template individually (to allow new photos to be uploaded)

Each published page contains elements from both the base template and the page itself.
