Barnett Greetings 2019
Lee's hat is very fitting for this page of our trees through the year.
We did plant 3 Pawpaw trees this year. The are quite small now, and are actually a smallish under-story tree. They will bear fruit that look like an elongated Kiwi fruit and taste like a cross between a banana and a mango. They make delicious smoothies. They are native to Michigan, and Dot remembers them being in the woods on the farm when she was a kid.

Everyone knows we had a very wet Spring that lasted a long time. While the temperatures and wetness were not favorable to farmers and gardeners, that combination did result in fantastic flowering of trees and bushes. Although our dogwood and red-leaf redbud were late to flower this year, they were gorgeous when they did.
